Initially when we started working with Manoj, I was a bit skeptical and thought to myself why do we need a coach, I can do this myself? Isn’t that why I was hired? Soon after, I realised the value of having another perspective on the business. Whenever we faced issues on communication and alignment, Manoj provided the perfect sounding board by creating a clear open space where we could bounce ideas, be more decisive and when we were stuck, he would play the role of mediator so that we could step back and reconnect to the bigger picture.

When I first signed up for coaching, I was looking forward to learning new things, working on the business processes and systems or as EMyth puts it, working “On” the business. Instead, we first started working on values. It was a slow process of identifying and defining my values. As a result, I have more free time. My decision-making is much easier as I now use my values, my passion and my purpose to guide me. The business is a reflection of the leadership and all the work we did on me as the leader has shown up positively in the business as well.

For most business owners people are their biggest challenge. This changed for us when we worked on defining our company values and ensured that these were not just framed on the wall but were actually living and were being demonstrated in the day-to-day running of the business. This has impacted our culture positively. I am now blessed with a team of people who are a real asset and love what they do and love to work here.

Defining our Brand Promise was another important step. This along with our values has provided the foundation for us to make easier and objective decisions.
